How do you use it to communicate with people. I want to communicate with my friends form my webcam this is my first time useing it and I got it set up but I don't know the first step to take to talk to someone on the webcam.

It's either he doesn't have a working microphone in the webcam, or, if he does, he needs to select the input device in the audio settings of the communication program you are using.

kindly check whether you have the correct host entry settings for the site. Try copying the host file from your friends PC. You can find the host file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Also compare your anti virus settings with your friend's. See this helps.

Check ur webcam handsfree whether the two speakers are working

Try ooVoo and you can talk to at least 5 or more people at the same time.

and paste it in your ADDRESS BAR and then hit ENTER. Download and install the program and have your friends do like wise.
Then setup the Audio & Video so you can communicate with the others.
Normal 0 After signing in to ooVoo Click on FILE, then SETTINGS. Next Click on CAMERA and after TESTING it , go to MICROPHONE and select it then TEST it. Then go to SPEAKER select it and TEST it. Then Save and it should work.

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
Select your webcam as the default microphone. (If it has a built-in mic)
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
Select your webcam as the default.
Click 'Save'.
Test webcam by making a Skype test call.

Please reinstall your webcam software/drivers.This will fix the issue.
If the problem still persists then reinstall the software you use to communicate with you friends(Example: Yahoo,Msn, or Skype)

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
2. Then click on the Video Settings.
3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see andtalk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger setit up as follows:

1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly soyou can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

i can see my friend but they dont see me

i have a webcam and all i know is its version type is: 5.1 .2535.0 and i dont have a cd for it..how can i install it
