I have a TruTech 26 inch model #16260. No picture

I have a TruTech 26 inch LCD model #16260 built in March 2006. I was scanning for channels with a new amplified antenna (RCA multi-directional #1450) and now I have no picture. When I plug it back in I get the standby light but when powering it back up the standby light goes out and still no picture. Is there a fuse or reset I should check first as with many of the old tube tvs? Where can I find the technical schematics to try to fix a 26 in Trutec model plv16260. I was told by my someone, it is probably a capacitor. Please help! --Mikey Milo

Is the tuner signal board needed to view everything-- dvd, pc, vhs? Is it need to make the monitor warm-up? Did hooking up the amplified possibly cause the damage?
    thanks: Mikey Milo

Picture is "pinched "top and Bottom by 1+ inches. Can't find how to fix with remote. All cable channels the same.

Hi Bob,
You probably have disturbed the "picture size" setting. There will be a key PS on the remote control. Please use it to choose the correct size of picture you need.

Maxim 11-54 26 inch lcd tv switch mode power supply blown up need new one

I have a Maxim 15" Portable LCD TV with built in DVB-T Tuner.

It has worked well for 2 years.
Now when you switch it on set to DTV
Starts to reload the channels
Once it has found 90 channels it moves to Add and will not add any.
There are no stored channels from the built in freeview.
However we still have the normal 4 on ATV.
Any advice.

TRutech 15" LCD does not pick up all channels

Check your TV settings and make sure your tuning is set for cable (may say "cable" or "CATV"). Right now you'll probably find it set for "air". If the TV is set to tune off-the-air, cable channels 2 through 13 work normally, but above that they aren't detected. Once you set the tuning mode to cable, rescan channels and you should have them all.

Remote control

I would have to say Version A.Only because I have the same model TV that I also needed a remote for,and I used the remote I had for a Trutech PLV1615T 15" LCD TV.I tried a remote I had for a Trutech PLV16260 26" that looks almost identical to the Version B,but that one didn't work. It's funny,if you look at the remote for the 15" in the picture,it looks like Version a of the 19",but when you click on the picture, and look under accessories for the 15",the remote is different.Blue triangle buttons. Here are the websites to the remotes.I hope this helps.Thank You very much!

My truetech 26" plv 16260 just stoped working

Heres what mine did:no picture no sound, when i hit the remote the indicator light went out....piece of crap is six months old, cant find any info on it, cant get a hold of anyone at Trutech.
So i took it apart, on the board that the power cord is attached to, i found six blown capacitors. There is also a big ass one in the middle of that board which looked ok but blew out the bottom.I replaced them, and im watching it as i type.
Its fairly easy but if your not comfortable soldering on a cheap circuit board, take it to someone.
I hope it helps, i think this repair will fix the other Trutech models with the same problems.

I would take advantage of the warranty before it runs out.  These things can be expensive to fix out of warranty.
