Kyocera fs 2100 keeps printing light images

It could be the transfer roller. If you have an old one you can test it with that one.

How do I detach the transfer roller bushes of a kyocera fs-2020d?

if you remove the pcr assy from the drum unit you will need to put the assy on the table. With a small slotted screwdriver you will have to wedge between the black roller bushes and the gray support on the pinion side.

Kyocera FS-3920DN call service 2000:0011742

The call service 2000 is about the main motor. Pull the Developer Unit and then the drum unit out of the printer and check if the gears on both units are moving freely. Then turn the printer on without the 2 units and see if the motor is functioning. If your the motor moving then the message displays on printer will be 7410 (because you have the drum unit outside). There is a possibility that the transfer roller is damaged.

I have a Kyocera Ecosys FS-1118MFP. When I try to make a copy the page comes out totally black. I have tried to change the toner, but its still the same. Tried adjusting the exposure aswell but invain. Any...

This is an uncommon issue and could be one of several things
  • The formatter could be sending garbage print data to the ECU (rare)
  • The ECU is bad, this controls the laser
  • The high voltage power supply could be bad
  • The the primary charge roller is bad.

Typical laser jet process.
  1. Primary charge roller is charged to -600V and transfers this to the photosensitive drum in the toner cartridge.
  2. Th laser removes the negative charge and places a +600V charge where the image/text will go
  3. Toner is attracted to the positive charged areas on the photosensitive drum (toner is negatively charged)
  4. Transfer roller has a + charge sits under the paper, this roller attracts the toner from the photo roller to the paper
  5. The fuser melts the toner onto the paper

So if the laser is going crazy and removes all the negative charge or no negativ charge is being applied to the photosensitve drum then toner will stick everywhere to it and you get a black page.

How this helps.

My Kyocera FS-2000D always says there is a paper jam when I send a document to print. There aren't any papers that are jam and usually I just open and close the top cover to clear it. Is there any fix...

The problem should be with the transfer roller.

Open top cover and remove developer unit by pulling (it's under toner).
Open left side cover. Reomve the waste toner box by pulling a lever in its neck. There wil be a gray buttom on the drum unit. If you push it, you can pull out the drum unit. Better safe then sorry, avoid direct light, and any other dabage-hazard. The Drum is really very sesible indeed. Place it somewhere in safe and secure.

I you now opet top cover, and take your hand into the hole, you can realize, if the transfer roller isn't moving.

Try to rotate it by cw and ccw. Don't pollute this area! The only one thing you can do to wipe the transferroller softly.

Then put bak the drum, the waste t. box. The gray bottom in the drum unit have to stand vertically. Push it ttill it "click".

Then put back the developer unit with the toner.

Try to squeeze the side covers softly by bare hands. Furthermore do the same with top cover. Close rear unit if nessesary.

Try to cleaan the pickup rollers in the begining of the paper tray.

Try to replace the papers.

I hope my answer will help you.

I used to have the same problem.

Fell free to ask!

Black dots printing on left side of paper

dots are usually always caused by the drum..drums are very easy to replace..(you don't even need a screwdriver)
here's how..
remove the unit that the toner sits's called a process unit..comes out as a whole with the toners...
next open left cover..
remove waste toner bottle. (drum sits right above it!!!
next remove drum by pushing on grey button and pulling drum
out the left side of the printer.

as far as the jam message you might need to replace tray feed tires located up under the machine
