cannot open lexmark 2500 it says prpblem cannot open due to app4r-exe

When I print a multiple page document, my Lexmark 2500 only prints one page, then stops. The software indicates it has printed all the pages very quickly.

I've had this problem with printing from Explorer since I got the printer. Previously I've been able to print from Word and have it print all pages but now I only get the last page of Word docs also. Running Vista Home premium.

I have never been able to print more than a page at a time ever since getting my Lexmark printer. On multi-page documents, it prints only the last page, as it is set to print last to first, but then it quits. If I set it to print first to last, it prints the first and quits.

My Lexmark X2500 only prints one page of a multi-page document and indicates the rest printed quickly. I'm running Windows Vista home premium

I have had the same problem. But I didn't have it until I bought a new computer with Vista Home Premium on it. It worked fine with XP. Now, though it will only print one page.

I contacted Lexmark regarding this issue. I was sent back several steps to follow in order to solve this problem. I couldn't find half of what they were talking about. But I opened the control panel, right clicked printers, server properties, and then advanced. Make sure that both boxes are checked. Then the following directions should work. I just printed several copies of a multi paged document with no problem. Yay.

If these don't work or you can't find things they are talking about try the above first and then these. I had to check that box before I could find the tabs and buttons they were talking about.

Please follow the steps given below to change the spool data format:

1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and
"Printers."

2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click
"Properties."

3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models,
there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.

4. This is the spool format setting. It should be set to the default to
"Lexmark." Under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."

5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.

6. Please try printing again.

Single page printing

OK, well when printing from the internet it quite often only prints the screen you are on, I presume, because you likes what you read, you wish to print it, well as you are on Page 3 the end of the document, thats what get printed. You actually, need to go to the File Menu, select, Print, and actually select, the type of print, there are options, Print ALL, Print Page, Print Selection, you need to set that, it sometimes remembers a setting and perhaps 3 was the last setting.. In any event don't just "Hit Print" you have to do as related, I am not sure if you can set up special "Print Now" parameters, but I expect you can, choose a "Default" setting.

Lexmark x3650 not printing after installation with my vista lapto

You can lastly try a hard reset of the printer but if that is to no avail the printer has an issue with it. See if you can get it to work with another computer for the heck of it just to make sure.

I need to change printing pages from last to first page first

the last printed page is always on top. For a long document, it takes a while to resort and place the first page first! This is how you can get Microsoft Word to reverse the print order and save all the trouble.
I have spent so much time resorting documents after printing. On my printer, the last page printed is always on top. By printing the last page first (reverse order), the document is already correctly sorted.
Here is how to do it:
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Open the document to be printed
3. Click the Tools menu
4. Select Options
5. Click the Print tab
6. Check the Reverse Print Order option
7. Select OK
Now, all your documents will prevent in reverse order. What a lifesaver!!!

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
