I'm unaware of the avenue to 'punch a few keys' to convert all pictures to jpeg. However, I can provide you with a solution to your problem if you are using a Windows Operating System on your computer.
Follow these instructions:
1) Make sure that all of the photo's that you need converted are ALL in the same folder - and easily to locate - like on your desktop.
2) Download PIXresizer (this is a free program - I use it all the time and it's safe - no adware or spyware.)
Click here: DOWNLOAD [ 3.3 Mb
.zip]
or here: http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm
3) Once you unzip and install PIXresizer, click on the program icon to open the program.
4) At the top of the program window, click on the "Work with Multiple Files" tab.
5) (Click on the Source button) and locate the folder you have your pictures in.
6) (Click on the Destination button) and choose a folder where your photos will be sent to after being converted to jpeg.
7) Check, Keep 100%
8) Select Format - jpeg
9) Click the 'Save Pictures' button at the bottom of the window.
10) Click on the file where your new pictures have been converted to view them.

You need to read each picture into one of the picture editing programs like Adobe Photoshop, or Corel PhotoPaint and then export them in the desired format.
Investigate what photo editing software might be on your machine.
