I have the exact same problem. When I turn the thing on disc tray 5 pops out and wont get in. I'm not able to get any cd's in or out. The display shows Error 162. My FM/AM radio still works.

it is definately jammed and will need to be taken apart and unjammed safely to avoid dammage to the unit

it sounds like the tray has come off the guides a comon problem with kids pushing the tray in rather than pressing the button. if the teeth on the track are ok then it is just a case of opening it up and putting the tray back

the main problem with this is the laser .
the category 1 lasers are very sensitive .
the solution is to make sure your cd's are clean , not scratched and the final thing to do is clean the lenses of your JVC S59 make sure to keep this unit in a dust free enviroment .
