Why is my badger .5 plus in sink erator leaking

One of your connections is either broken or missing a rubber gasket or a hose clamp. You have a lock ring on the top that basically bolts to the drain of the sink which is part of the disposal, IT has a rubber gasket or two on it, some have plumbers putty on the very top, the hose that goes from the dishwasher, if you have one, has a hose clamp on it, the drain line into the trap is a compression fit, needs to be tight, and it is usually bolted or screwed into the disposal itself with a rubber gasket. Check these out and tighten them up. Hope this helps.

Water is leaking from the base of the Badger 1. Appears to be coming out of the reset switch. Can i repair this?

There's only one repairable thing on a garbage dispostal, and that is where the pipe (drain) comes out. If it is leaking from there, it can be fixed. If not, it means the housing is cracked and you need a new one. PS don't turn the disposal on since it's leaking from the electrical connection!

Badger 5 leaking from middle of unit when motor is

Make sure the seal is tight where the unit attaches to the sink. It may appear that the unit is leaking elsewhere but is not. If you are sure it is leaking at the case, check for cracks or you could have a bad pump seal internally, in which case the unit should be replaced.

My badger 5 plus is leaking from the bottom, how do I fix it?

Sorry, but you fix it by replacing it. Once they leak, it means there is a crack in the housing. Easy to replace though. Feel free to email me for help....not sure if this leaves my email address, so here it is: [email protected]

I have a badger 5 plus garbage disposal (5-6 years) it humms

Yes, it sounds like you have a bad motor winding, not allowing the motor to actually work. It is time to replace. Hope this helps

Water leaks from two locations on my Badger 5, 1/2 hp disposal

These holes are probably due to wear, as they are at about the level of the cutter. In general, residential disposals are not repairable and once they begin to leak, they must be replaced. The Badger series is Insinkerator's budget line and probably has about a 5 year lifespan with normal use.
