Bsnl gprs setting nokia 5800

Hello and Welcome to Fixya
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a packet-based wireless service used for sending and receiving data through the internet protocol. With GPRS, the transmitted data is divided into various 'packets' before it is received by the user.

Setting up bsnl GPRS for your phone:
Usually activating GPRS on your phones are done by the service providers, and different service providers have different configurations. Additionally, the settings for GPRS vary based on the different phones and phone models. As activation is required before setting up you should know that activation process vary from one provider to other. It could be as simple as sending an SMS to a particular number or calling customer care of that particular service provider. Once the activation is taken care of, the setting of the GPRS is done based on the model of the phone.
It is important to note here that the setting for GPRS is different for different phones companies and may be different even for the different models produced by these companies. Therefore, it is recommended that you rely on the information given directly from the service provider. Again activation process may be different for postpaid and prepaid customers. So just call and demand GPRS settings for
nokia 5800 by the service provider, They will send it free.

I hope this solution helps you

Hello thanks for using fixya
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a packet-based wireless service used for sending and receiving data through the internet protocol. With GPRS, the transmitted data is divided into various 'packets' before it is received by the user.

To use GPRS, users require:
  • A mobile phone that supports GPRS
  • A subscription or upgrade, as relevant, to the mobile network that supports GPRS
  • Some users would specifically require asking their mobile network provider to activate the GPRS while other network operators allow automatic access
  • Knowledge of how to do data transfers on their specific model of the mobile handset as it varies depending on the models and brands.

Setting up GPRS for your phones:
Usually activating GPRS on your phones are done by the service providers, and different service providers have different configurations. GPRS Problem in my handset nokia2630, bsnl prepaid. I save message sent by bsnl. G is coming and sometimes E is coming at left of Set. When I try to connect gprs it shows subscribe packet data first. This...

hi....

think you didnt select your BSNL settings as default setting ,so only your getting as 'subscribe to packet data first'.

As you said it says 'only 20 sets are allowed', there are plenty GPRS settings present in your mobile.please go to default configuration settings and delete all the settings which you previously stored in it.

Now call your BSNL and ask them for the GPRS settings they wil send GPRS setting and MMS settings also. please save it and make it as default settings. Then you can start using the GPRS connection.

If you didnt select it as default setting, follow the below steps to set it,

please follow the steps down to set your BSNL setings as default.

Menu--->Settings---->Configuration---->Default configuration settings.

open this menu and select BSNL as your default service provider,
Then you can start using your GPRS.

Thanx
