Hello,
This usually means you have a blockage between the roller brush and the bag in the machine. You won't have any suction to pull dirt into the bag. The dirt will fall back onto the roller brush and out the front of the machine.

Yes, the hose between the roller brush and the bag was plugged. Cleaned that out and my vac works great! Thanks, WonderTech.

If it is blowing air, then that air must be getting in, to be blown out. That inlet is where the suction occurs. Check all seals and filters.

If you have an air compressor try blowing all the dust out of the inside of the machine, Did it to mine and it works a whole lot better.

Check the leak (where the dust come from); maybe you need to tighten or reseat one or more part in that area.

Do you mean the suction is very low? Or really none at all?
If low, there can be a hair/dust ball clogging the tube way deep. If you can remove it and the vacuum cleaner has an 'blow air' out you could connect the tube and blow the junk out possibly. The clog could be inside the unit instead.

If no suction at all then it's probably a complete disconnected tube somewhere.

How to blow up a mattress with a Dyson dc25

the Dyson upright does not have an exaust outet you can plug a hose into to blow up the mattress, I had the same problem and Dyson told me that basically you can't reverse their vacumme cleaners to blow up mattresses etc.

Is a shop vac supposed to blow while vacuuming? We've had this for several years and I don't recall it blowing air OUT while I am vacuuming.

You should have two ports on the shopvac. One that is basically your vacuum and one you can use as a blower. Your hose will fit on both connectors. So yes, it would both **** and blow. This is called a "blow-through" system.

No suction - air blowing OUT from tube

Is the air blowing out of the pick-up tube or out of the exhaust tube on the unit? I am assuming the pick-up tube. The installer has hooked your system up to the exhaust tube on the unit. Hook up to the intake on the unit instead.
