The information on the back of a watch can mean two things: the model of the watch and its serial number.

What is meant rather depends upon the manufacturer.

Many watches are listed by model name for a range but there may be individual types within the range which are referred to by a number.

In some cases the instructions are listed by number and not name.

How to change a battery

If watch expensive, take it to Shop to get it changed , if watch waterproof, it needs to be changed at a shop, as when battery changed , shop checks that the watch is still 100% waterproof.

Need correct replacement battery

the watch movement deters which battery the watch needs it is very important you do not put a battery in that doesn't suit the watch as it can short out the circuit however you can get the correct size in a gold seal quality which should not leak, also the older the watch, the more demanding the watch becomes on the battery as the movement components start to experience wear and tear

My swiss army victorinox chrono watch stops about once a week when the date changes, I just tap on it and it starts back up????

Hi,

It sounds like the watch movement needs to be serviced. A qualified watchmaker can do this for you.

Hope this helps,

Swiss Legend Chronograph Stainless Steel Case- how to change the battery

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving in doing it yours

I bought a 2nd hand Concord Mariner Ref 0311277 automatic with a second hand. I can't find out anything about it. Can you help?

Very nice watch

The Mariner does have a silver brushed stainless steel finish, is waterproof for up to 100ft and uses the Battery Powered Swiss Quartz Movement for its mechanical operation.

Here is are the general technical specification information
for the Concord Mariner (311277)

I am not sure if there is any manual or paper-based guide on how to
use the Mariner, but if you want to contact the vendor, the Watchery, here is their general customer service line: 1-866-843-9282.

I hope that helps and that you enjoy that beautiful watch!
