How do you copy a cd on my laptop? - Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412 Notebook

Copied from what? What format is the CD? What machine was the CD copied? What is on the CD?

It depends on the OS you are using.
If you are using windows XP, upon inserting the cd, click the cd icon on 'My Computer'. When that opens up, you would be open to a 'CD burining' window. Copy what ever you want to copy from the desktop onto that window, then by the left, you would see an option 'Burn these files to CD'. Click it and the CD burning window would be open, insert the cd title, then go on with the burning. When you are done, you would have you data on the cd.

If your OS is windows Vista or windows 7, insert the CD, a dialog box would open up, you would be asked if you want to format the CD, select the option 'live formatting'.
When you are done with formatting, your CD would be like any other flash drive or external disk. You can then copy onto it from the desktop.

Hi this is max.I would like to help you regarding the mentioned problem.Since the laptop doesn't have a CD drive then there are 2 ways you can install the software.

1.You can go to the softwares website(it will most probably be mentioned on the CD or its cover) and download the appropriate file to your laptop.Install the software and reboot the laptop.Then you can use the device.

2.Another way would require a PC or laptop with a CD and USB drive and a pendrive along with the installation CD.If you don't have such a PC or laptop you could ask your friends for help.First insert the pendrive and delete the contents(after copying them if needed for later use) and then insert the installation CD into the drive.Open the CD drive from My Computer and select all the files in the CD and copy them into the pendrive.Eject the pendrive and insert it into your Laptop and copy the contents.Now double click on the setup file and the installation will proceed.After it completes,eject the pendrive and reboot the laptop.The device should work.

I would recommend downloading an un-cracked copy of the operating system that you need. Burn it onto a DVD and use the CD key off of the bottom of your laptop. Make sure that you download a copy that does not already have the key inserted and that it is not an OEM copy. You can use that CD to either repair or re-install windows.

1. if you have a cd drive, just pop in your cd and copy all files to your pc.
2. if you don't have a cd drive like my new notebook pc, i load the cd to the cd drive of another computer and copy it to a flashdrive or SD card then transfer to my notebook pc.

After all the copying has completed, remove the CD and let the computer reboot from the "new" files on the 'C:' disk-drive.

It sounds as if the CD/RW drive is bad. Replace it.

hello,all you need to do is just to get the usb cord of your zen mp3 and connect it to your laptop/system that you have your choice songs installed on it.
If you have a particular CD that you want to install the songs on it on your zen mp3 player,all you need to do is just to insert the CD into your laptop/system,then you copy the songs from the CD to the laptop/monitor.
After you have done that,you then connect your zen mp3 to the laptop/monitor with your usb cord to simply copy the songs from the laptop/monitor that you already copy from the CD to into the zen mp3.
with the above instruction you can copy as many songs as you wish....

put it into the cd drive and a window will pop up with some choices. you can either choose download, or you can open the files for viewing and then click and drag them to your desktop.

You'll need to download the images onto your laptop before you can send them. Copy them to a newly created folder on your desktop. Once you have moved them you should zip the folder with Winzip, or another program on your laptop that will compress your images into a zip file. When your zip file is created you can attach it to your email. Be sure your file isn't too large or it will never send. You may have to break up your images into smaller files.
