I have a magic chef 20 lb capacity heavy duty washer model W20HN3S serial ME851474 with spin problems. Clothes come out soaking wet. Can I replace a belt?

If your washer will wash (agitate) your clothes but does not spin well, you will need to replace the "thrust bearing" in the washer. The repair is simple and will only take you a short to do. Here is a link to the "thrust bearing kit" you will need.

Magic Chef Washer will not Aggitate / Spin

The best thing to do at this point is to get back to the belt and inspect everything, this can normally be done by unscrewing the back panel. It may also open from the top, not exactly sure. Always call a pro if you dont feel comfortable doing any repairs yourself.

My washing machine drains but does not spin

Look for a motor belt that is worn out and make sure that the drum turns freely (machine off).

Laod with bath towels won't spin out

hi, you may find that the towels when wet are to heavy for the belt to grip the drum if it spins with normal clothes in you need to reduce the load when you wash your towels, hope this helps.

Washer wont spin

if the belt under the washer is intact then the transmission is bad. generally its time for a new washer unless its still under warranty
