I just had Norton re-installed after being removed and now it will not run.

One possible issue: the original Norton was not completely removed. Try running the Norton Removal Tool. Download it from: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&selected_nav=&pvid=&docurl=20080828154508EN

Make sure you know your product key. Directions are on above site.
Then reinstall your Norton Product. After rebooting following running the Removal Tool, your browser will probably open with directions for downloading and installing the Norton product. Otherwise, you can use your CD, if you bought a box version. If you bought the product online, you need to check your download directory to see if you still have the installer or try to redownload the file (check the paperwork for your purchase).

(I have assumed that you are not running Windows 7 and have remaining time on your subscription. If you have Win7, the directions that follow use of the Norton Removal Tool are your best option. Norton 2010 is Win7 compatable.)

I think may be its due to the you are trying to active Norton 360 or Nav with the product key of nis or trying to activate with expierd product key

1.you need to remove existing Norton program with Norton removal tool
2. Download and run Nis2010

to download Norton removal tool go to www.norton.com/nrt or www.syamantec.com/auotools
Download and run the first tool

Once we finished the un installation we need to download and run Norton Internet Security 2010

How to uninstall the norton product

please go ahead and download www.symantec.com/nrt ,tool and run this tools and after running this tool please restart the computer and it will remove the norton products completely out of your computer

After installing Norton Antivirius laptop has run slow

Go to add or remove programs and remove norton anti-virus. Reboot your unit and download AVG free.

If are having Norton 36 premier version
go to www.norton.com/n360p_4 to download Norton 360 premier version 4.0

once we finished the installation we can activate with the existing product key.
If you will get error message like "you exceed number of installation" while trying to activate, you need to contact the Norton support to reset the installation count.

Please help me to reinstall my norton 360 version 2.0 on my pc. the product was bought on the 2/19/09.

Hello,

Make sure you have the CD key or have registered your product on Symantec. You will also need any other Norton product keys if you have them installed on your computer.

Best advice I can give is to first run the Norton Removal Tool which can be found at Norton Removal Tool at Step 4. This will fully remove all Norton products from your system.

After you run the Removal Tool, you can reinstall the 360 software, run Live Update, and enter your CD Key to reactivate. It should pick up where you left off as far as Days Remaining.

Norton internet security 2007

Click on start, run and type in %temp% and enter, select all the temporary files that are there and delete, reboot and try again.
