Hi,
there is a small ball bearing inside the nozzle on the end of the lance , this can get jammed or missaligned and the nozzle orifice can get blocked , clean this or replace the whole lance with another 200 Bar lance .
hope this helps
Pour some 3 in 1 oil in the pump inlet without hoses connected. Fire up and shut off in a few seconds, repeat a few times. Hook up water hose not the wand hose, blow oil out. In the wand itself, spay WD40 in the inlet and blow through it making sure the trigger works. Mines been running years!
Also if you loose pressue and the above doesnt work. Its your unloader valve sticking. Pop the plastic umbrella thing off. Simply pry off the big rivet in the plastic. Unscrew the top and pull barrel thing out. Straighten shaft if bent, clean, and grease barrel with waterproof grease if available (Bel Ray motorcycle), Re assemble. Should work as new. My machine running top shape 14 years now.
Follow up: My machine is now 16 years old and running like a champ. Ive had to replace O-rings in wand hose and above mentioned greased unloader valve that's it. I use Mobile 1 synthetic in motor. Like a champ.
Update: With yearly greasing of the unloader valve and (Walmart) synthetic oil change this machine is still running like new. 18+ years old now!

it sounds like you have a bad pressure solenoid valve, this is how it knows when to turn on the pump pressure .you can search the web under karcher and you will see the valves for about 60 dollars.
