WMSD2756GES Clicking, slight burnt smell, humming then repeats
We have a MSD2756GES Side by Side. There is a clicking noise that happens every 4-5 minutes or so and what sounds like the compressor humming. A smell of burnt plastic is also noticed. I pulled off the frig back lower cover. Vaccumed the dust and lint. Turned the frig back on and it still clicks and humms for approx 8 seconds then quiet for 4-5 minutes, then repeats. Fan is spinning. Any help is appreciated.

That is probably the overload on your compressor clicking. Remove the rear panel and listen for it. If thats it unplug ref. and remove compressor cover and remove the starting components. Shake the relay. If it sounds like its in pieces its bad. If not you may have a bad compressor, but I would replace those components first. Check your warranty for compressor.
Do you hear a clicking noise as if the motor is trying or no sound at all? If you hear a clicking or humming noise it is likely the track has come loose. The track is scissor like and what the window sits in inside the door. Sometimes they can derail. If you DONT hear any clicking or humming it is likely that your window motor has burnt out on that side. A common occurrence with heavy use or low power conditions. The window motor for your vehicle can be found at partsgeek it is a relatively easy fix if you are handy with tools and patient. About a 2 hour fix on weekend, but requires removing door panel interior and removal of motor
1st make sure your connections at battery and starter are clean and tight. Next pull the battery out and have a parts store check it's condition. Even though the lights and radio work, it may be too weak to crank the engine over. If the battery checks out ok, then you are probably correct, it's the starter. Check in this order though, so you don't waste $ on parts you don't need. You don't want to pull the starter out to find it was a weak battery, or a bad connection (dirty or loose connection would prevent jump start from working.)
Possible bad heating element, You should remove the cover of the unit and look at the heating element with the power off. Until you get your problem resolved I would recommend not to even turn it on due to the fact that you are unsure what is going on and you smelt some burnt smell. Just for safety until you fine the problem
