SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Move the slide switch on the side of the card.

It should have a little switch on the side. You slide it down to lock, up to unlock.

Take out your memory card and look on the side.

There will be a little "switch" on the side. There shold be a little lock logo embossed on the plastic and your slider switch is switched to locked. Slide it in the opposite direction and you are good to go!

Insert the card...go into the menu and scroll to "copy". Follow the directions for copying the internal memory to the memory card.

If its the same problem i got:

Remove the batttery for at least 20 mins to drain all power from camera.
Turn it back on.
