My ACL lifestyle lp522 doesnt turn heater off

My ACL lifestyle lp522 allows me to turn the central heating on but doesnt turn it off even when I manually set it to off. In order to turn it off I have to cut off the central heating mains electricity now. Is the thermostat/timer broken? Would replacing it help or is it something more to do with the central heating system?
THanks

Acl lifestyle lp522

The display should not be blank, meaning nothing there to look at. Different digital thermostats can be powered in 3 ways. Just from their battery's, from the furnace control transformer, from the furnace control transformer with battery back up in case the control power fails to retain your programming. Usually, removing it from the base and pulling the battery's to kill ALL of its power, waiting a minute or so then re-powering it, will restore the factory program and return the display. Also, there may be a small fuse on the back of the stat. If it has one, it will be easy to see if you are looking for it. Easy to miss if just looking at it for no reason. Be sure there is power to it. The battery's and their connections first. If you have a meter, check for control voltage. Put one lead on "R" then touch the other to "C", "Y" or "H". Should have 24 volts (AC) from the furnace transformer. I have never seen a stat blow from a power outage. But?

I need a user manual for Siebe Climate Control LTD "lifestyle Miodel LP522 control

This was very difficult to find, but I found it just for you! Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up! Thanks so much for understanding, it would be a huge help to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do this for me. To view the manual you will need adobe reader, which you can get for free from http://get.adobe.com/reader/ You probably already have it though, please try opening the file first and find out. Here is the manual / guide please give it a few minutes the file is quite large:

I have two here, one that is for a "Drayton Lifestyle LP522" which is this one:

http://micromatikal.dlinkddns.com:8000/cust/lp522.PDF

And one that is just a "climate control Lifestyle LP522", I would think it has to be one of these two, but please let me know if it isn't, here's the other one:

I've a problem with my central heating, I've changed my central heating programmer to a drayton lp522. My heating is constantly on. The only way that I am able to turn it of is with the thermostat when I...

Hi you never mentioned which programmer the LP522 replaced, as the LP522 is a 5/2 day programmer.

you may of wired directly to the heating on terminal on the programmer?

It may of been that you had a basic programmer which was only designed for the system you have installed. If i know what existing programmer was used i may be able to help?
