There are two reasons for this fault. A fault smoothing capacitor at the video output voltage rail, or excess of screen voltage. These lines are called 'vertical retrace lines' technically. Hello; Not much info given. Are the lines from top to bottom? , and does EVERY line go fully from top and bottom. If the lines don't go FULLY from top to bottom, you have a cracked LCD panel ( cost more than TV sold for ). If they all go fully from top to bottom, It can still be the LCD panel OR the LCD controller board ( much less expensive ) John
if this line is in the picture, that is possible burn in screen. if you have a black bar at the top or faint white lines that come down from top this is caused by defective filters in vertical circuit or bad vertical output. mch
