I bought a 19 inch digital labs tv/dvd combo and it is not picking up channels from my cable cord? Do I need to return it or is there another way to fix it?

Wish I knew the answer ... I have the same problem after switching to Dish Network (Satellite). It worked fine with Time Warner Cable. I'm suspecting the signal over Dish is analog (NTSC) which is not supported by this particular TV. I wish I still had the box and receipt!

Let me know if they have a solution! If so, I will regret having sold my TV today!

1 make sure you have the input select set to cable box and the tv tuned to channel 3 or 4 (try both) 2 make sure the co-axial cable is connected correctly to the back of the tv and to the OUT TO TV from the cable box and that the cable box is turned ON. Make sure the co-ax from the wall is connected to the "IN" co-ax post on the back of the box. If you use an HDMI cable, make sure your tv is set to receive a signal over HDMI.

Most HDTVs have ATSC, QAM and NTSC (analog) tuners. It sounds like yours does not have an NTSC (analog) tuner. QAM tuners only pick up digital cable channels. You may need to switch to your cable company's digital service if your not already on it. Call your cable company for further info

Help

you'll need to bring up the menu, under "channels" or "set-up" you will find something called autotune (or manual channel set-up). it will automatically set the channels you pick up.
