Olevia 32" Video question

I have had my Olevia set for about 2 months. It's great and has a great picture, but there is something going on that I want to know whether I should be concerned.

When I first turn it on and the Olevia splash screen comes up, the colors is often funky. The usual blue font sometimes had read speckled thoughout it and a green vertical band about 4 inches wide shows up on the left side of the screen.

Everything looks great once the splash screen goes away. However, I am concerned that this may develop into something worase as time goes on.

Good Lord. I can't believe my spelling errors! What I meant to say in the second paragraph was "The usual blue font sometimes has red speckled throughout it..."

Widening around the border of picture

I suggest you read your manual. You likely have the picture setting on Panorama or Wide setting, and your manual should explain that Wide Screen pictures are stretched at the sidea to fill the screen.

Newly purchesed 37 inch olevia t.v. and all of sudden shut off

Oh I sort of had this problem with my LCD.. its a possibility that the video chords or something are in the wrong place? Or just take it back in if the warranty is still in effect.

LCD Screen going bad?

This set has had a problem with the LVDS cable from the Main PCB to the panel. The wires are delicate and the connection is not that great. Sometimes unplugging and reseating the cable does clear intermitent problems like yours up. Good Luck
