Feb 01, 2010 - Took off the top of the dryer and i can see the ignitor come on. took off the front of the dryer and i see three sensor that look like they monitior something in order to open the the valve for the gas. what is the best way to check these sensors to make sure they are working correctly. one looks like a photocell that is directly to the side of the ignitor and the other two are directly oppossing each other. not sure if they are some type of heat sensor. the are however wired in series. any ideas?

As everything in your dryer is working fine apart from it heating properly so the recommended repair will be thermal fuse/thermostat replacement. However, you can also test its continuity before replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating
the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows
sometimes it is still not working properly.
Tromm LG DLG5988 gas dryer
Heater not turning on
Gas light on
Cooling light on at the same time
Heat Sensor light on
I checked gas it is on and flowing through the pipe up to the dryer
Can't find igniter, reset switch or fuses on the dryer
