Ok my my book was on and i hit the desk and it fell off but didnt hit the ground. now my computer wont find it and it just turns on and blinks....

The TV's power supply has certainly got affected. Most probably some of the ground tracks might have got burnt along with a few components and this might require attention by a qualified service technician.

You may have damaged the cord and/or connector. Check the cord and the connector and replace whichever is broken, maybe both.

in short no its broken cant retrieve info there are companys that do do this but there very exspensive so unless its realy important information sorry

If you get no joy using the Troubleshooting Guide then try this...
You will need to check You Tube to find a Dismantle on your product and follow the step guide on here, the procedure should be similar.
Check 1st that your External HDD has an P.C. internal HDD inside, from You Tube, before dismantle of your External HDD. Connections for an Internal Laptop HDD may have same connections as P.C. not sure though.
Once your happy that it has continue reading and follow the step guide on the link below.

Bdfreo you do anything, try the device on anopther pc. see if it works then youhave nothing much to worry. if it does not, then i guess you have to go for data recovery

ok wow i dont even think i dropped mine but it doesnt work.. like the light flashes when i plug it in but then it isnt recognised...

Hold the power button in on the computer for 5 seconds. Wait another 5 seconds. Now hit the power button as you normally would to turn the PC on. It should boot normally.

i was filming, and i tripped and my gl2 hit the ground. it hit the battery kind of hard and now it wont work properly. now when i turn it on, the power light blinks red or green, depending on playback and recording mode. i want to know how i can fix this.

Many of the power jacks also contain switch contacts that allow the adapter to power both the laptop and the "charging" system. I would suspect that one of the leads had either been broken or at least detached from the pc board. This laptop needs to be dis-assembled and the power jack repaired. Worse case will result in the replacement of the jack or the repair of the board if that part has been cracked.
