The fob may need to be reprogrammed by the dealer.

Changed battery on my key fob and it won't work

What is year--make--model?
The key fob is a transmitter so there has to be a receiver in the vehicle. At the moment, I can't tell if problem with transmitter or receiver? Can you try a different key fob? Where applicable, if key fob needs to be programmed, maybe the info is in your owners manual?

I lock my 2007pt cruiser with key fob. 10 min later flashers come on till battry dies....can't figure it out. Changed multi function arm. Didn't work. Still have same problem.

contact a dealer,there might be a bad body control module and a new one needs to be programmed possibly

Battery died on key fob for remote start, astra 100RS, scytek, I changed batteries and now, the light does not come on, for either key fob and remote start doesn't work any more.

may just need new batterys

How do i open my door when my car battry dies and my door locking is sticking, and it wont work by the key fob????

The biggest reason this happens is because no one uses the key to unlock doors. The cylinders in the key slots loose their lube and get stuck in a certain position(corrosion). Spray some lube in it(wd40) and work the key in and out. Spray more lube. Work it more. This may release your locks, but is no guaranty. You may have t have a lock smith come out and fix it.

Ive got a primera 96 gt centrel lock stoped on key fob,ive changed battries but nothing happened,it locks and un locks with key but alarm goes off till u turn on ignishion,what could the problem be and how...

this would be a dealer problem. sounds like faulty alarm system receiver.

Fob will not work changed battries and still no luck

lost one of the key fobs to a 2007 mercury montego. dealer gave me a used one for free and instructed me to turn ignition key on and off 12 times but without starting the car. next, try key fob. worked for me. if you have 2 key fobs, you may have to reprogram both, so i would change batteries in the other one as well, but only after the non working one proves good.

: If a double audible warning sounds during the programming procedure a system malfunction has occurred. Repeat programming procedure.
Obtain all keys fitted with remote control. Open driver's door. Operate headlamp high/low beam switch to flash high beam position and hold. Insert key into ignition switch, turn to ACC position. Ensure system LED flashes once and an audible warning sounds. Operate headlamp high/low beam switch to flash high beam position 5 times. Ensure system LED flashes once and an audible warning sounds. Programming mode activated: Press and release lock or unlock button on first key. Ensure system LED flashes once and an audible warning sounds to indicate correct programming. Repeat programming procedure for remaining keys. Switch ignition OFF and remove key. Close driver's door. Check operation of keys. Keys can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment
