make sure your operator facilitates gprs. go settings - connectivity - internet settings - you will be able to see some pre-loaded internet settings from some prominent operators select any of the option if your operator concurs with your actual phone operator, this should work and the menus are self explanatory.
else contact your operator to send the settings to your phone and this settings will self install in your phone, then go to internet settings and select the settings which was sent to you by your operator
