The XPS 1530 has a slot dvd drive so you may have to take the whole chassis part to get to the drive. This should help you: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xpsM1530/en/SM/optical.htm#wp1038494
As far as the small pinhole you will need to poke around near the edges of the drive because it is not visible. I rather doubt that there is one because on the XPS m2010 slot drive (the same one as the 1530) you have to manually remove the drive and dismantle it to get a disk out(according to the dell support site). If you dont want to dismantle this might work also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=wpWieIoBBrk
Hi,
Please try the following:
On your dvd drive there is a very small pinhole. Get a paperclip and try to push it through. This pinhole is used for emergencies where the dvd drive does not eject.
Other thing you can do, is to turn your laptop upside down and remove the dvd rom drive from your laptop. Then unscrew the dvd drive to get the cds out.
