Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 Power up, but no beeps/video

I have a Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 Rev 1.0 The system powers-up, there's no video, or beeping. The cpu fan, and video card fans do turn though. I cannot get into bios to check anything. I have also tried clearing the bios with the jumper on the mobo.
I have tried 2 processors, 2 different video cards, and alternate memory as well.
The power supply has also been tested, and apparently good.
Wierd thing is I have also tried all peripherals on another mobo (a GA-8PE667 Pro Rev 1.0)with same effects.

Here's the thing..I have tried these three processors,:
    2.8, 3.0, and 3.2

    on three different boards:
    Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 Rev 1.0
    Gigabyte GA-8SIMLH Rev 3.2
    Gigabyte P4 Titan GA-8PE667 Pro Rev 1.0

with these two memory different memory types:
    Blitz 512 MB PC2700 DDR 400Mhz
Patriot 1 Gig Dual Channel PC3200 DDR 400Mhz

And 2 (known working) video cards:
Nvidia FX 5600 256 MB DDR
ATI Radeon 9200 SE 128 MB DDR

I have the same exact issue with any configuration of cpu/board/memory/video ... I've tried them all..
Even so far as to purchase a new 700 watt ps...ruling that out.

I am stumped, there's no way in hell, all the boards, cpu's and memory could be fried.

Your MotherBoard is undoubtably faulty replace it.

But if the CPU(s) was/is faulty that will stop it all? You ARE connecting ALL Power Cons to the MB's right I guess? certainly what it seems like? I mean you are right, ALL 3 MB's probably aren't faulty. but NOW what is "Common" to all? have you checked the manual for any "Jumper Settings" for CPU/RAM usage on MB's? BTW often you CANNOT mix RAM... Some CPU's simply will NOT work with certain RAM, are you SURE they are Compatible?

Weird thing is I have also tried all peripherals on another mobo (a GA-8PE667 Pro Rev 1.0) with same effects. <--- That sort of says it all? Do any of the boards have Onboard Video? If yes, try that first.

IF there was a MB fault then simply plugging whatever in the first time will/would make the units faulty. I have had this heaps. replacing MB's is a risky business, as it can trash the RAM CPU whatever as soon as you power up, and you'll never know. I always use Known Good "Plug ins" RAM CPU etc. THEN if it doesn't work I know whats what. Your problem is you don't have any "Known Good" units.

are you SURE your Video cards are OK?

The system powers-up, but no video, or beeping sound heard. the cpu fan is turning. Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 V1.0

If you hear the windows chime during bootup then it will be a video problem. 1.) Swap the power cord from the computer to the monitor and vice versa 2.) If computer still working then try a different monitor, 3.) Replace the video card. Hope this helps, Best Regards, -md

No video at all. Soyo dragon 2 SY-P4I865PE Plus

It may be your RAM. Try using only one RAM card at a time and keep switching them until you figure out which one it is. Otherwise, you could try a PCI graphics card, but you would have to change the settings in the BIOS so it knows to use the PCI card instead of the AGP.

You can also check to make sure the processor is in it's socket correctly.

Finally, if you can, try the components with another motherboard to see if it is the motherboard.

I hope this helps :)

SY-P4I865PE + Dragon 2 v1.0 locks up while running XP with 3.0E P4

I would say ram. Most the time you have lockups is because of a bad ram address. The system will run for a while till you fill up enough resources to reach the bad ram address then the system will lock up. The funny part of your problem is that it doesn't happen with the other CPU. But I don't think the DDR400 ram was designed to be used in systems with a Prescott CPU. The motherboard may accept the ram and the CPU's all right but the Prescott was a pretty powerful CPU for it's time and I think most of the systems it was designed to run in used a lot faster ram.
