When i try playing call of duty modern warefare 2 it says version 3.08 or something like that neeeded to install to play online but when i try to install it it just randomly stops in the middle why wont it install!!!

well if another Disc works (try a movie or something) it means that the disc itself is damaged. Now I'm betting that the other disc dont work eighter, This is because the rom has reached its life span. Replacing the rom is the solution to your problem.

your blu ray player is faulty you will have to contact playstation to repair it

Upgrade to the newest firmware, since 3.0 had some freezing issues with some games, if your internet connection is slow it would also cause it to freeze up

try deleteing game firmware once online it will re download firmware v130 this game was hacked so try re downloading it my psn is manhunter707 so look me up

i play call of duty modern warfare as well but when it says that i usually turn off my ps3 and turn it back on again! it seems to work

It should work after a long time if you traded because the settings are different on different disks

try disconecting from internet and puting game in to get it to work hopefully the download will finish and then reconnect to internet and try to play
