I cannot run the driver (HP officejet 9110) for window XP . I downloaded and tried to install but there was no EXE. file. I tried to unzip, too.

On any computer running Windows XP or Vista or 7,
right-mouse click on the ZIP file, and choose "Extract All" to start the "unzipping-wizard".

Once unzipped, look for a "setup.exe" file in the newly-created folder. Double-click to run that program.

Your almost there.
You need to run the .exe install file in the unzipped English folder. This should install your driver.

You will need to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Please follow the steps given below:
To uninstall:
1. Click on "Start" and "All Programs."
2. Go to the "Lexmark "X1200" Series."
3. Click on "Lexmark Uninstall."
4. Click on "Next."
5. Click on "Finish."
6. Click on "Restart Windows."

Well first off, you're going to have to download the Vista drivers for the 2610 from the HP site.

Once you download them, unzip the file (just doulbe click it to unzip) and make note of where it unzipped to (it will say something like C:\drivers\xxxx

The go to your printer window.
Click the "Add printer" and local install. When it asks about drivers (what kind of printer you have) click "Have Disk" and point it at the folder the download unzipped to.

That's about it.

You don't need the install disk.

***Note***
In some cases, the download file will be a complete install routine. In that case, once you unzip it, sometimes it will go right into the install, in other instances, you have to look at the folder it unzipped to, and look for a setup.exe file

You need to download a new driver from www.hp.com/downloads

for XP for your scanner. Make sure when you download it you have all running proggys turned off including your firewall or it may not download correctly.


Download it to your desktop, it will be an exe file

Turn off the machine and unplug it
then click on the exe file to install

follow the instructions carefully and if has not told you to reconnect your printer when it is finished, do so and restart your computer.

I may be able to help you with this. Did your Mom's friend give you the CD software that comes with the printer? I found this site where you can download drivers for printers and such--> ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software3/COL1232/oj-2520-3/A1401_20_ENU_XP.exe

I downloaded and scanned the file for viruses and spyware, it's clean.

The exe file gives you the driver, but there is no .exe autoinstaller.

You have to manually install the printer and load the driver using this path:

Settings -> printers -> add a printer -> add a local printer -> LPT1 port

once there ignore the drivers list and press "Have disk", then locate the previous unzipped driver location and press ok.

You should get your printer installed and ready.
