Make sure you put the update file in the correct folder on the memory stick and that the filename is correct, as per:

Is your game in a memory stick?

Try this:

1. Goto Recovery Menu (turn off then hold R and turn on)
2. Configuration -> Use NO-UMD (Disable it)
3. Go all the way back to main menu
4. Advanced -> Advanced Configuration -> (Disable all of them)

If that doesn't work, update me before rating my answer, so I can advice another solution.

My psp can put miusic

You need a memory stick duo to play music on your PSP, when you insert the MS duo into the PSP, make sure you got the settings menu and format the MS duo. that way, when you plug the PSP into the PC, it willl already have the neccesary folders to put your music in

Cannot get games to play-where is the "OASS Button"?

Try this:

1) You must first backup ur data on your memory stick to your PC. Mainly the saved games data. ( directory is PSP\SAVEDATA) 2) Format the memory stick using the PSP format tool in system settings...not your PC. 3) In System Setting UNCHECK or UNSELECT "UMD Cache" this must be off!!!! 4) Connect your psp via USB cable 5) Copy your game saves / data back to your psp remember >> PSP\SAVEDATA . 6) Do a hard reboot of your psp ie hold the power switch for 3 seconds and it will reboot. 7) Your UMD games should now work with no probs.

This is not my solution, just a solution found on a messge board from others having the same problem

Error code on PSP

Your psp probably was hacked before and the idstorage was messed up. If you are luckly running on 1.5 firmware, you can run homebrew programs such as idstorage change and idstorage manager to fix the problem, then proceed to firmware update.

Downloading games

To play game on your memory stick you'll need Custom Firmware installed such as M33/OE on your PSP, else if you play a UMD. The last CFw Update is 3.71M33-3.

What is version on your PSP? (on PSP Menu, move across to the "Settings Menu". Scroll down, select to "System Settings" > "System Information" and you should see version of your PSP.)

Here's at MyBlog, how to install CFw Guides. If this is the first time you've used the Memory Stick Duo, you must format it with PSP to create the proper PSP folder structure. then copy your game *.ISO/CSO into ISO folder, and DevHook folder to the root on your memory.

Hope this helpful/idea. Pls post back should you need additional information. ^_^
