I have a AVR130 Audio/video receiver,JBL separate ubwoofer 140/230, 4 JBL satellite speakers one center peaker. Kindly explain the connections to get the listening pleasure

Connect #1 JBL Speaker to the Front Left, #2 to Front Right, #3 to Right Rear, #4 to Left Rear, the center speaker to center and the subwoofer to sub out. This will give you dolby surround sound and individual sounds through-out the entire room like the movie theatre.

How to set up surround sound

Not sure what you are looking for

But if 5 speaker setup have your front left and right speakers on the appropriate side of the television, your center speaker in the middle of the tv, Either mounted on the wall or underneath or on the shelf, try to have the center speaker set back from the front speakers. Subwoofer usually I mount behind the entertainment center. Your rear right and left speakers optimum position is behind you on the left and right.

If its a 7 speaker setup everything is the same except side right and left speakers go in the middle somewhere between the right and left front and rear speakers

I will make a example the the cursors [] Speaker *TV
LF[] CT and TV*[] RF[] []Subwoofer behind tv
SL[] []SR
LR[] RR[]

Hopefully that helps

Hi .. i have just bought a logitech x 530 speaker and only 2 of the speaker parts work .. can you please give me some solution advice?

Hi names Rui i like to help you by giving you step by step instruction in propely hocking up your logitech speakers:

Instructions

1. Connect the black plug of the rear right speaker into the black plug on the subwoofer.

2. Connect the yellow plug on the rear left speaker into the yellow input on the subwoofer.

3. Connect the red plug of the front center speaker into the red input on the subwoofer.

4. Connect the white plug of the front left speaker into the white input on the subwoofer.

5. Connect the d-sub connector plug from the front right speaker into the d-plug connector on the subwoofer.

6. Connect the green, black and orange input to the matching plugs on your computer. If you have a four-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the front plug of the card and the black plug to the rear plug. Do not connect the orange input. If you are using a two-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the "Line Out" jack on the sound card. Do not connect the green and orange plug.

7. Plug the subwoofer power chord into the electrical power outlet.

8. Place your subwoofer on ground around your computer desk. Position the front center speaker on top of your computer monitor.

9. Place the left and right front speakers on the sides of the monitor. Position the left and right rear speakers behind you, making sure they are pointing toward the front left and right speakers.

10. needs to support 5.1 surround. Normally, more than three sockets for sound indicates that it does. Then you need to use the software that comes with the sound hardware to configure it for 5.1 - Default will be 2.1 or just 2.
Check the control panel out. This is a lot easier under Windows 7.- Here you can access what you need via the speaker icon on the system tray (right click)
There is NO problem with your OS or hardware, this is pretty standard...

hope this will help you solve your problem.

DVD plays partial sound

Check your speaker connections it sounds like you have a 5.1 or higher sound system. 5.1 means left front speaker, right front speaker, center speaker, right rear speaker, left rear speaker and subwoofer.

Voices in movies all get channeled to the center speaker (you can usually hear it a bit from the right and left front speakers as well). If your center speaker is disconnected or not working, you will only hear the background sounds.

Suround sound speeker system for sony

It's very simple. The center speaker should be directly in front of you, usually where the TV is located and the front left and right should be at the side of the TV (left and right), the two rear speakers should be anywhere behind you and the subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room. The front speakers and center should be within 6' to 10 feet from the seating position and the rears can be anywhere behind the seated position.
Hope that helps.
