My sony ecricsson w960 touch screen stopped working a month ago

A month ago, it happened to my phone too. I got it reprogrammed at a local repair shop for only $10. The repair man says the problem is brought about by over charging of batteries or by downloading of certain apps which eat up a huge amount of the phone's 8GB internal memory. So he advised me to be careful so it won't happen again. I hope this helps. =)

You might have to align the screen but it its not working at all (the touch screen) it is probably a bad digitizer. You can buy a digitizer on ebay for $7-20

Try Holding In the Top Button And Touch Button For A Long Time Around 7-10 Seconds.. It Will Reset The iPod And Your Screen Might Work

replace the digitalizer(the touch screen) . maybe she dropped it or used the phone with wet hands and that will cause the touch screen to stop work.

format it,it will help the screen to setup.but b4 you have to put every single data on you computer or something bcz everything will be lost.thanks

It happened 2 months ago on my phone after it fell 3 feet high. Surprisingly after intentionally banging the phone face first on my table (keep it gentle) it worked and has been OK ever since. I hope this works for you too. =)

need to change the whole front touch pannel this is a hardware fault

Hi, this happend to me a few months ago when i dropped it on a hard floor at university. I had mobile phone insurance so simply got it repaired. What i would do is connect the W960 via usb to your pc, (fast file transfere mode) this will enable you to got all your pics/music/vids off. After this you can try a mobile update using sony ericsson update software or take it to a authorised repair shop. Hope thins helps mate.

I suggest you have to find the decent watchmaker and do not use dealers services anymore.In my opinion you have been overcharged in both cases.
Consider replacing touch screen if it is damaged and then sell it on ebay (anyway you do not like it). For watch in working order you have to get quite a decent money. If you gonna sell it as it is, you will get pennies only.
Later just buy another make and forget about this unlucky example. :))
