Maybe your tv ecounter audio has short circuit, or maybe your speaker became busted. Need a repairman to fix it.

Sanyo DP50741 50" Plasma TV - After a power failure audio no longer works on any input however video is fine. What is the likely issue/component?

Are you speaking of audio through the TV speakers or through your sound system? If through your TV speakers , I would go into menu and make sure speakers are set to ON or TV. Settings can sometimes be reset or changed due to spikes or surges. Recheck all settings to eliminate the obvious. If everything is fine then it's possible an electronic component such as an IC is blown. This would not be very expensive to fix. Hope this helps.

I have a Sony STR-K750 receiver running with a Samsung 50 inch series 6 tv.There is a digital lead running from the Austar receiver to the Sony receiver for sound.I have a Hdmi lead running from the Austar...

Run both audio and video to the tv, then use the tv optical audio out to go back to the receiver. The problem is, when you split the signal, the tv takes longer to decode the hdmi signal =, thus delaying it from the original audio signal.

Sanyo DP 42849 42'' lcd tv no audio no video

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

I BOUGHT A NEW LG TV AND AFTER A POWER CUT - IT SHOWS NO SIGNAL- WHAT AM I TO DO-

Hi.
This can be caused by several different things.
First, the power outage could have caused some capacitors to go out.
This is the most likely cause, but not the only possible problem.
It could also have burned out resistors, diodes, circuit boards, transistors, or circuit chips.

If your tv turns on, but it displays anything on the screen, even if it says no signal, then that would rule out capacitors for the most part.
If it turns on, and you have sound but no video, then this is either a blown projection tube, or a circuit has burnt out.
If it turns on, but you have no sound or picture, then you have either a circuit failure, or an I.C. chip that shorted out.

Power failures can be very destructive to tv's, monitors, and other electronics.
It only take a small amount of excess voltage to spike through the wires to burn parts out.

You can try this, but there is no guarantee that it will work.
Unplug the tv, and while it is unplugged, press and hold the power button in for 30-45 seconds.
This can sometimes reset internal systems back to the way they are supposed to be.
Then after holding for the 30-45 seconds, release the power button, plug the set back in and try to turn the tv on.
It might or might not turn on now.
This is a hard reset procedure, but it doesn't always work.

Your best bet it to take it to where you bought it from, surely you have a warranty on it, since you said it was new.
The warranty should cover the costs for repair.

Now, it may take them a few days to get it back to you, but at least it will be repaired, and since it is getting repaired by qualified repair technicians, it should keep the warranty valid.
Anytime something like this happens, if the item that stops working is under warranty, always get warranty repair instead of just taking it to the local electronics shop.
They might not be trained to do the specific repairs needed, and might even do more harm than good to the set.

I hope this helps you out, and good luck to you.

I have a new Sanyo TV with a build in DVD player. I have started having audio issues. I have not had the TV for a year yet and the audio has started spiking loudly out of now where for a couple of seconds...

Pl. check the variation of volume while you listen the sound,if no change than the problem is with the circuit, contact company service center. Also check by tapping on the speaker grill with your hand if the speakers are jammed than the sound will come intermittent, replace speakers.

Monitor comes on for a split second , and then off

Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Dell monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.

No sound or picture now

The set may have shorted the horizontal out put transistor since it kept coming on sometimes. This could be cause by the driver transformer arcing causing a "spike" in voltage going to you horizoltal out put transistor. Stargazer
