Simple!
Download Skype for your operating system via the following www.skype.com/download

Then you need to register a new account.
Assuming you already have connected a microphone and/or a web-cam you should then be ready to add contacts and make phone calls across VOIP.

If you need any more info please contact me.

Thank You

Easiest way to send a Fax using your PC - Skype with PamFax

PamFax will work without Skype however I prefer to use the two together. Use PamFax as either a Skype plugin or on its own with the PamFax client.

I usually scan in the documents I want to FAX and save them as JPEG it costs about 8p per sheet and you can even load PamFax account from your Skype account.

Download Skype now and say "Hi World" for FREE

Download the PamFaxClient now and start FAXING !!!

Hlep me to create skype id

go to Skype.com, download latest version in Yourlanguage,

that's what Skype itself tells us to do:

To start Skype:
If it's your first time opening Skype: Open Skype on your computer.
That means double-clicking this icon on your desktop or choosing it from theWindows > Start menu. Having trouble? Launchit from here. This will open a start-up screen. Click Don't have a Skype Name?
This opens a Create account window. Type in your name, then create a Skype username(called a Skype Name) and a password. - Pick ones you can remember so you can sign in nexttime. - Follow the directions from there and click Sign in. If you've opened Skype before: Open Skype from your desktop or Windows - Start menu. In the start-up screen, click in the box under SkypeName and type it in. Then do the same for your password.
(If you forget your password, click the Forgot your password? link and followthe directions from there.) This will sign you in to Skype, ready for you to use. Happy Skyping Greetz Ganimidis

Skype isn't letting me log in

If you are sure that you are typing in the correct password, then you might need to check your router settings.

Try to reboot your router first, then try again. If you still experience the same issue, you now have to check the firewall settings. Please see instruction per Skpe;
  1. If you are on a network that uses a proxy server, make sure your proxy settings are correct. To check proxy settings in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings. To check proxy settings in Skype, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection.
  2. Check your firewall settings. If you are using the Windows inbuilt firewall, click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall, and make sure Don't Allow Exceptions is not ticked.
If you are using a different firewall, click Start > All Programs and select your firewall. Make sure that exceptions are allowed. Go to the Exceptions tab. If Skype is listed, delete it. Start Skype. When prompted, select Yes to allow Skype to connect to the internet.
  3. In Skype, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection and then un-tick Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections

Message from skype says the my computer is running too slow to make avideo call. intel atom 1.33GHz processor all other programs are closed, using windows7 ultimate

This is true, especially if the video images break up. The best thing to do is to switch off the WEBcam and just use Skype with the mic. The audio will be clearer.

The same started to happen lately with my friends too. I'm playing Strategy MMO and I recommended to the guys from my alliance to use Skype. Everything was OK, until few days ago when a lot of them (...

I recommend checking your firewalls, if that doesn't help, here is an archive for older skype versions

SKYPE

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

working OK ?

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE
Connect webcam
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Start Skype.
On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Run down the list setting your defaults
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Make a free test call
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
This will launch your webcam
Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.
