1971 ford f 250,no fire at the coil when key is on

Its sounds like the ign switch is faulty. Do you have radio heater wipers when key is turned on? If not change switch. If you have, then the wire on the positive side of the coil is dead. Follow that wire to find the break. If you notice the starter sol. has two connectors between the battery and starter connectors, one is for energizing the sol. and the other is an override for the coil. Check this system closely. I think you will find your problem there. Good luck

90hp murcury outboard motor will not start

Do you have a remote starter button? It shorts out the solenoid (does what ignition key does) to see if the problem is in the actuation side of the system. If the remote starter works then your problem is between the ignition switch and the starter solenoid. If it still does not work then your issues are either bad battery connection/cable to the solenoid or a bad ground connection to the engine from the battery. does the engine turn over manually? Can you put a socket on the crank and rotate the engine by hand? If not then you could be looking at a stuck or frozen engine. Try removing the plugs and spraying WD40 or engine fogger spray into each hole, let it sit overnight and try turning it over again by hand.

2002 ford ranger quit running on highway, pulled over tried to start but wouldn't crank over, starter just clicked like a dead battery. thought alternator died then drained battery. today jumped battery,...

If the starter is just clicking, then it is not,but if the starter is kicking the starter drive out,and that is the noise you are hearing then it might be,turn the crank pulley with a socket and ratchet ,clock wise,if it turns then this is not the problem, make sure the ground to the engine is good,if the ground cable has gone bad, this will happen.

Wont start think its to do with alarm system how do u reset it

alarms supplied by Triumph as accessories were in fact Datatool alarms, do a google search for Datatool and see who sells or distributes them. the Datatool website will probably lead you to their helpdesk.
