Scanninig My scanner has been working very well and all of a sudden it tells me that it has been disconnected. I have tried several things like, disconnecting, rebooting and still the same. I have scanned about 300 slides and now I can't scan any without getting this message. Please help, I have a lot of slides to do. Thank you for your assistance.

Probably you need to re install the drivers for your scanner. If you provide more details on your scanner model we can give you the link to download the drivers

    Before reinstalling drivers you can try this



    first unplug your computer power cable ( not enough turning it off, is to eliminate charges inside pc that can affect usb devices).

    then if possible try a different scanner usb cable and in any case plug the scanner in a different usb port.

Check with Device manager whether the HP Scanner is listed over there... If you are not able to detect the HP Scanner, try uninstalling and reboot and the again install the HP software that is bundled with the Scanner.
Also check the usb connection or even check with a different usb wire.. Cheers -Parveen

I believe you are suffering from driver corruption. You may need to reinstall the drivers..

www.hp.com has those.

I had my 206 on the lift and it worked fine, i was changing the oxygen sensor and started the engine several times. I had it on for a wile but suddenly it didnt start. it kranks, what can i do?

Disconnect the battery totally and get a battery charger on to it so it is back to full charge.
Leave it disconnected for 3-5 hours while it is charging and then reconnect.

While the battery is disconnected, make sure any electrical connections you played with when working on the car have been properly connected back up.

When changing electrical items on the car, including sensors, you should always disconnect the battery first,

The scanner suddenly stopped working - the error

try turning it off and on, if this doesnt help un plug cable and restart PC.
then plug cable back and and see if the PC will detect it then try again.
if the PC doesnt detect it then try different cable and if this doesnt help you will need to contact manufacturer.

I have a officejet 6110 and when I turned it on the other day the scanner moves all the way to the right but never stops and sounds like a gear keeps slipping. Then a scanner failure appears on the screen...

This kind of problem creating from main dust only in Scanner Assambely so it must remove and make it clean; while you making clean use Soft Cloth to all the Glass to Clean; Do Not Apply Any thing in the Glass try it....

Canoscan Lide 60 suddenly cannot be communicated.

hi um i don't know if this will actually work but it did for me, I had 2 problems with the lide 60 scanner-one was a connection/cable thing and another was this "TWAIN source thing" and after installing this:

Scanner problems

Don't know if this helps but it's from the manual on lexmarks website.
Scanner Connection error 1 Disconnect the USB cable from the printer. 2 Reconnect the USB cable. 3 Turn the printer off. 4 Unplug the printer. 5 Plug the printer into an electrical outlet. 6 Turn the printer on. 7 Restart the computer.
Weird order of doing things but maybe that's what you have to do to get the scanner enabled again. Give it a try and see what happens.

All in One Scanner/Printer problems

Go to this link and type "cannot communicate with scanner" in the search box. Click Search. Then select the "ERROR: Cannot communicate with scanner" link. You will see several things to try to correct your problem. Usually, this error shows up if there is another USB device connected which prevents the computer from "seeing" the scanner, even though it can print without problem. So do try to disconnect any other USB device (except mouse or keyboard) and reboot the system.

Color problem and inacurate scaning

I solved my problem by simple re-boot. Unplug scanner power and USB for several seconds then replug. This solves a large percent of such problems. I wasted a lot of time before I did this. mike123456
