What let you slide content and do so many things through touching the screen of your phone is the "capacitive touch screen" embeded on the phone itself has shorted out when it felt in the water (bear in mind that it functions through electricity that continously runs through it. There is a program called Slide to Unlock you can install. It gives you the iPhone like slide action to unlock your phone. It also allows you to set your buttons to no action without first sliding. After installing it, go to the settings and be sure that 'Slide to Answer' is ON, and 'S2A Answer Key' and 'S2A End Key' are both turned OFF.
