The reset is on the settings menu, it does not have a reset button.

To get to the settings menu press the menu button then press the right button on the controller to get to the setting menu.

When you are on the setting menu you need to go down using the down arrow on the controller to the 3rd page were the reset option is.
Press right to access the reset options then select Reset then ok.

Press your trash can button which is also green to the right of your menu button. This will solve your problem

The sd card in my optio z10 says it's locked. How do I unlock it?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Me kids have played with my camera and set the green mode.if i push the menu button it tells me that the green mode needs to be canceled touse this function

You may need to look up how to reset your camera to factory settings. Look that up in the manual. You will not loose any pictures.

How to format memory card pentax optimo z10

Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com

Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.

Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.

In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.

Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.

Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Pentax Z10 won't turn on.

Press and hold the playback button for 2 seconds. The camera should turn on and be in playback mode. Switch to Camera Mode by opening the from slider cover. Hope that fixes it. See Pentax Z10 Manual Page 34.

If software is a problem why not just buy a USB to SD card adapter, and plug your SD card directly into macbook - about $10

Can't see pictures on the computer When i put the disk in the reader, after a certain set of pictures, it will not show pictures, just random symbols, and not allow them to open. The pictures show on the camera with the disk in it though.
