My Frigidaire dryer has an error code of AD and is taking forever to dry our cloths. Please help.?

I see that your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an error code of "ad". The "ad" error code will display with the "Auto Dry" cycle has been selected. If you did not select the auto dry cycle I would suggest performing a reset on your dryer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. Once power has been restored to the dryer and if the error code is still persistent you may need to have a replacement control panel or wiring harness installed. AD = Auto Dry

If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry and the AD error. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.

it means auto dry it will check the temp of the clothes so if they dryer quicker then 40-45 minutes it will shut off earlier instead of running the full 40-45 minutes. In the manual it says AD is the adjusting time according to moisture level for those who keep drying but display this it is normal for those who display and size to dry is not normal if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick

AD is not an error code i found this out by goin to the frigidaire web site it just means that the dryer is in auto dry mode.

AD is a indication of board problems.I would unplug the unit for 20 minutes to see if unit will reset

All this is doing is letting you know that the Auto dry sensors are kicked in and checking to see how dry the clothing is.

thats not an error code error codes are f codes eg. f01 f02 thats a cycle code for auto dry are you having any promblems other than the display

I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY DRYER (AEQ6000CE32). WHENEVER I PUT THE CLOTHES IN IT JUST SPINS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND SHUTS OFF BEFORE THE ALLOTTED TIME. THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE DRYER. ANY SLOUTIONS?
