Do both the TV and the Home Theater have HDMI ports?
HDMI ports and cables have the audio connections built-in.
So, IF they are available, try that.

It seems to be a compatibility problem. Check both operation manuals and follow instructions contained there.

It is a new tv.Take it back where u bought it and trade it in for another tv.This tv have those 2 LCD long inverter boards have problems.These 2 long LCD inverter boards are to help the tv LCD screen panel to have a backlight for the tv LCD screen to produced a picture.

You need to lower the video resolution output of the PS3, it is set too high for he TV to display, It should be set to the native resolution of the TV. Just Google 'PS3 VIDEO RESOLUTION'

Depending on the type of connection your TV has, you would either connect RCA type cables or an HDMI cable from your TV to the Samsung unit. No they all are compatible with eachother no matter what brand tv,surrround sound. It is all in the hook up & without you stating how you have it hooked up,no way to tell because one siimple connection is all you r missing. You have it most way there if sound is ok on dvd.If you explain how you have it hooked up i can surley help you!!

optical connection in tv is only input optical connection in receiver is only input will not work.need to connect rca jacks to tv's audio out jacks behind tv to any available input in receiver

the hdmi connector on the tv has probably pulled loose from the main board..they are not attached very securely..it might be possibe to resolder..
