Hi,
Here is a small diagram it shows how to connect the player to a tv. the next thing is are you having problem with the DVD player or Tv? Do you have any problem with dvd player not reading the disc or is it just the connection problem.Any ways please look at the below diagram.
Goodluck..
I will need a little more information on the exact model number, what is the model number of the unit you are trying to connect, and what have you done differently since it has worked for you, or has it ever worked with what you are trying to view now?
Ok, Those are normal composite video inputs. What do you get on the screen when you try to view a movie? Are you for sure, positive, you have the TV set switched to Video input?
Cool guy when was the last time you seen yellow, red and white on a scart cable? DUH!! read a little before trying to beat another tech out dude, What a moron!
You need to unplug the TV set for several minutes and reset the TV set. Then try to switch to the regular video input.
If you are using the yellow, red, and white cables, look on the back of the TV set and see what the input number is, IE, Input one would be AV1 for you, or AV2. If you do not get any input, try a different DVD player or the video and audio output from a VCR to check the TV input.
You gave the wrong person the credit??!!
DID I not assist you with the reset?

Hello
Dear leaj
Please send me the details of the player u are using, it will be helpful for me to provide solution...!!!
Thankyou
Simple on the rear of the dvd player see to it that the three color pins are connected to the respective colors in the output section..!! And the other end of the wires should go to the input side of the tv located at the back of the tv...!!! and then play a dvd and switch the AV modes on the tv...!!! I am sure this should solve your problem..!!! waiting for ur reply.

Dear leaj
If u have an extra cable with red yellow and white pins, i suggest u try with a different one, cos may be the cable may have been damaged..!!!
Else you have another option to connect the cables in the front on ur tv rather than connecting it at the back...!!! You will those find pins in a small openning, now connect it to those pins and place ur channel to AV2...!!! Waiting for ur reply..!!!
Thankyou
To decide which mode to put ur tv in depends on which socket you are connecting the dvd player to, so to do short check just connect the yellow pin alone to the output of the dvd player at the back as"Video out" and the other of the cable to "video in" in the tv's front yellow pin if not then at the back..!!! And now you should know that this is only a video check, so u will hear any audio...!!!
Thankyou
No probs, have a great day leaj, you can come back for further assistance later too and even refer ur friends too...!!!
Thankyou

It is a Panasonic DVD player. I have color code (red, yellow and white)cord connected.
I have everything set up like you are showing above, but the screen will only show the regular tv programming. When I change the TV\AV button, it shows S-Video, YCbCr, 2 AUTO BK, AV1, and AV2, which allows me to see the cable channels, but not DVD movie.
I tried unplugging the set, but it still is not showing. Could you tell me which mode the DVD should appear in- AV1, program number, or S-VIDEO?
Thank you so much! It is finally working!!! Have a great evening, all of you, please!
I apologize, I did thank all of you for your assistance in the previous message. Have a great evening, everyone!
