Question about Yahoo Messenger

Everytime i type my password and user name, the smiley face will begin to go yellow then turn to gray again. then a box will pop up saying that "messenger encountered a connection problem. please check the network connection and then click try again. (81003004)

Try each of these in turn - if successful (or not) please feed back information to help others.
1) Since Internet Explorer is a vital tool in Yahoo (even if you use another browser as default I would recommend installing the latest version and update any support software for IE by using an update checker

2) Start with a clean browser
Download 'ccleaner' and run it through a couple of times,using the factory settings and the 'Run Cleaner' control until 0 bytes are seen to be cleaned following a scan
Run the 'Registry' from the left hand toolbar but 'Save' any changes after opting to 'repair' errors.

3) On the sign in page click 'Messenger' > Connection
Toggle between 'Connect direct to the internet' and 'Proxy setting' make sure the information is correct in the lower 2 boxes
4) Check these settings in IE (even if you have another browser set as default)
a) Tools > Internet options > Connections > Lan settings > check 'Automatically detect settings - uncheck other options
b) Tools > work offline - make sure this is NOT checked and has a red X through it
5) Disable your firewall and do a trial sign in
6) Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings-uncheck Proxy server and check automatically detect setting
7) Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > dial-up and virtual private Network setting > select your default connection > setting > check automatically detect setting

Hi,
1. go to messenger menu
2. select connection preference/ preference
3. the tab will automatic select connection preference, if it doesn’t, select it manual.
4. change your internet conection type, for my problem i choose broadband(DSL/Cable).
5. Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections (tab) > Lan Settings (button) then uncheck the Proxy server checkbox and check automatically detect setting
6. Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections (tab) > dial-up and virtual private Network setting > select your default connection > setting > check automatically detect setting

Gmail on outlook!


To use your Gmail e-mail account in Outlook, you must first make sure POP3 support is enabled in Gmail, and then you can add it to Outlook.
Log in to your Gmail account.
At the top of any Gmail page, click Settings.
In the Mail Settings window, click Forwarding and POP.
I don't see Forwarding and POP
Gmail is turning on POP3 support for users in phases. If Forwarding and POP does not appear, your Gmail account cannot be configured for POP3
support.
In the POP Download section, select Enable POP or all mail or Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on.
Click Save Settings.
In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
Click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
Click POP3, and then click Next.
Under User Information, do the following:
In the Your Name box, type your full name the way you want it to appear to other people.
In the E-mail Address box, type your e-mail user name followed by @gmail.com.
Under Server Information, do the following:
In the Incoming mail server (POP3) box, type pop.gmail.com.
In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box, type smtp.Gmail.com.
Under Logon Information, do the following:

Click More Settings.
On the General tab, under Mail Account, type Gmail.

Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click the Advanced tab, and then under Server Port Numbers for both Incoming server (POP3) and Outgoing server (SMTP), select the This server
requires an encrypted connection (SSL) check boxes.
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port number to 465.
The Incoming server (POP3) port number should change automatically to 995 when you select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
check box.
Click OK.
To verify that your account is working, click Test Account Settings. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be
prompted to supply or correct it. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
Click Next, and then click Finish.
Notes
Do not select the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box.
Unless specified by Gmail, all server and address entries are typed in lowercase letters.

My memory cannot remember my user/passwords


Popular Web browsers have features that allow them to remember passwords so you don't have to constantly enter login information on the websites you visit.
If your browser does not automatically ask if you would like to save the passwords you type, you can quickly turn the feature on and begin saving your information.

Apple Safari
Open a browser window, and select "Safari" from the menu bar.

I have tried to connect to http://192.168.0.1 to change my password but it says to type in admin and use the same word "admin" as password and it won't let me in.


Hi.

Try this, type http://192.168.0.1 into your browser again and load the page up. When the box pops up asking for user name and password type in the user name box admin
In the password box type password and see if you can log in.

If you still can't get in please post the make and model of the router.

Let me know how you get on.

Download the Messenger from Yahoo.com, Launch it, Click on the plus sign(+) (which is right underneath the contacts tab) to add a certain person with either their Messenger ID or Email address and choose there network, press next, add any additional information you want, click finish, double click on there name, and start typing, you will know if they are online or not if there smiley is yellow or gray or you can join a chat room by going to The tab *messenger*, then to yahoo chat, and click join a room, and choose what room to join and begin chatting.

Connect internet


step 1 go to system settings

step 2 go to internet and type in pin

step 3 then go to connection settings there should be be connection1, connection2, and connection 3 lined up. go to one that says none or if u have 1 that says set up complete erase it and go to that 1
step 4 hit search for access point a weird name should come up beside it should be a lock and a green, yellow, or red outlined box with bars in it.

step 5 the gray box with the weird name in it

step 6 hit the gray box underneth the word WEP

step 7 there shoulsd be a bunch of numbers on the side of your modem. put the numbers in the middle of the three rows. they should be 10 numbers in perenthesis. example (4604069716)

step 8 put that number inside the black boxes without using the perenthesis

step 9 press OK when u are done typing it you should come back to the box under WEP with stars in it

step 10 press OK when u get back there. then it will ask u "do u want to save these settings" press OK again.then it should say "connection saved.Begin connection test?" press OK. when it is connected it will say connection test successful. then u should come back 2 the page that says
"connection settings options and user agreements

all u have to do is do it 2 more times and u should be able to surf the web.

How do you send a text message using contacts


Go into your contacts .... touch the icon to the left, this may be the default droid picture ..... a pop will come up with options, click the icon that has a conversation balloon with a smiley face .... voila you can send a text message

or .... in contacts, touch the contact name your wanting to text. A screen will appear with all the contacts information ... the same conversation balloon with smiley face appears next to the phone icon .... press it

type to compose, and touch send :O)
