Hi,
I am afraid that there is only a small percentage of luck that your camera isn't destroyed. If it was in the bag with the wine for a long time then the wine certainly went into the camera circuits.
What you can do is take it to an electronics service shop and ask them if they could open it, remove the components and clean them with special solutions to remove the sticky wine.
Hope it works.

My digicam got wet in a washing machine what will i do

hello libertcharis,
What can i say other then it happens, firstly don't turn it on. Remove the battery, as well as removable storage if applicable. Fill a ziplock bag with rice, open as much of the camera as possible, and place the camera in the bag on top of the rice. Seal the bag and let it sit for a few days, as strange as it sounds this does help to remove the moisture in the camera. Usually use this trick for cellphones, but same idea.
Good luck

My flip got wet and wont turn on. is there anyway to save videos

Do you use memory cards with your camera? If so, the videos should be saved on the memory card. Just remove the card and download it to your pc or view it in another camera.

If you do not use memory cards, then remove the battery from the camera, put it in a bag of dry rice. close the top of the bag and leave the camera in that bag for about a week to dry it out all the way. Once it has dried out, it should work fine. But do not try and turn it on and off ect while part is still wet or you may loose your videos stored on it and/or damage the camera.

Dropped in river in a leather camera bag for split second. Dried straight away just wont turn on have fully dried out in sun.

The sun only dried out the exterior, not the inside where the circuits are. If you tried to turn it on while still wet inside, you probably fried the circuits.

I own a Nikon D-50 and this past saturday i spilled wine all over my bag, and my camera was in there. it did get wine on it, so at first it was really screwed up and ive been letting it dry and drying it...

A spill on an electronic device requires immediate wipe dry to prevent seepage into internal least accessible areas. Soon after the fluid is dried off, the electronic device should funtion as before. However, certain components may least require contact with fliuds. For cameras, the lens areas should be protected from very particles. Once the camera is wiped dry of the fluid, chances are that a refunctionality mode would be resumed. However, if being incapable of ascertaining the extent to fluid seepage, consult with a technical expert to open device for blow cleaning. The camera may simple still have particles obstructing snap shots since clearity is required to acquire photographs. refer to the cameras user guide about disgnosing malfucntions. Also, attempt to ascertain about the cameras warantee durations. The manufacturers is usually capable of replacing accident devices.

My screen is white and won't turn on i think the battery may have gotten wet?

Here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the camera: Dry the camera, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, camera and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped camera in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your camera because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the camera. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Hope this helps!

My camera got a little wet 2 days ago.

Good luck with this, water is NEVER good in a camera. Best advice is to open it up as much as possible, remove cards, open access doors etc and place it in a warm dry place for a few days. Hot water cupboard is best. With luck the water will dry and it might come on. If it had been salt water or Sports drink full of sugars etc then you may as well ring up your insurance.

Wine spilled on camera - repair or buy new one

It would be quite difficult to bring this camera back. I would suggest buying a new camera and keeping it away from the wine. Even if you did get a quote you liked and decided to get the camera repaired it is unlikely that the technician would be able to restore it to pre-wine functionality.
