Hi, thanks for using Fixya!

  • Open the SD card slot on the nintendo wii, open the battery panel on the wii balance board.

  • Press the two red sync buttons on the wii console and the balance board and hold for 3 seconds.

  • The blue light on the back of the wii balance board should flash for 5-10 seconds and then stay blue.

  • If this doesn't work then try changing the batteries and trying again.

If it still isn't connecting then the problem is something a proper nintendo expert will have to help fix.

Thanks, I hope I have been of assistance.

The wii balance boards light will just blink but won't stay on I need help ? thanks!~Embrio Anderson ????

It's either not establishing a connection with the Wii, or it's batteries need changing. I personally have never had to connect a balance board with the Wii for the first time, I only played with it at my friend's house.

Wii board

Make sure that you have synced the board to the wii (similar to a controller). You have to take the battery cover off the board and push the sync button. The blue light will start flashing. From there you need to open the front cover of your wii under the power button.

From there you start up wii fit and it will prompt you to turn on your board. You should get a solid blue light. If you don't, you may need to try syncing again.

Havent used board in a while now wont start up. changed batteries didnt help. flashes blue but doesnt stay on

It likely needs to be resync'ed since it hasn't been used in a while. The flashing lights show it is trying to connect to the Wii...if they never turn to a steady blue, it never connected. A sync should correct the problem.
First press the red "sync" button on the front of the console, then inside the battery door of the Balance Board. The results should be immediate. If the board never holds a steady blue light after trying to sync, you problem is something else that I couldn't guess!
I hope this helps!

Wii fit board will not stay on

The light does not need to stay on. It is supposed  to flash approx. 3 times, then go off. Though the light is out, the game balance board is still on.
