I have a red light that blinks when I remove the face plate. but no other readouts or indications that I am getting electricity to the face plate. I can get the cd to go in and come out by resetting the reset button. But no lights. Is there more than one button to push. If the faceplate has been damaged where can I get it repaired or replaced.

Try taking an eraser and cleaning contacts on both head unit and face plate also check both constant and accesory fuses if you havent allready if thats not the case you may find that its cheaper to buy a new head unit than to replace face

Stereo shut down

Did you check fuse block in the car as well as the stereo fuses?

When the face plate is down does that model have any indicator lights in the rest of the deck to see if it is getting power? My old ken wood used to have a red light that blinked behind the faceplate.

Heat goes off and red light blinks

Contact Rowenta if the yellow and red LED lights start to blink; this indicates an internal electrical failure.

There are over 200 complaints on the consumer affairs website, that include same this problem.

Its better to be safe than sorry.

No sound or lights

make sure the yellow wire has power all the time and the red wire has power when the key is on. Most likely you do not have power to the red.

Red light indicating a plate is hot stays continuously on.

I assume this is a smooth top model? One of the sensors on a burner is bad and can be replaced. It involves removing the top adn disassembling the burner. Not difficult by my standards but delicate work that requires some knowledge of electrical components.

Only red light bliking, no screen

the red blinking light is indicating that you have a missed call, unread message, or unread email.
which makes sense if you cant see the screen.

holding the power down for 5 seconds doesnt do anything?

how about pulling the battery and replugging it in and turning it on via the Red hangup/power button?
this is known as hard-resetting the handset.

if its under warrenty you might be able to get the screen swapped out.

Daewoo Cd player

The car security is not connected to a head unit. It probably has a small blinking red light on it which blinks when you remove the faceplate and switch the ignition off. This is just an indicator which lets people see that the face plate is removed.

You can replace the headunit with any brand/model you want. It would be cheaper than buying a replacement faceplate.

Not turning on

That Red light is saying that the front panel is not attached. This is the "Security Indicator" and is to warn crooks when you have removed the face plate. If this is on, and the plate is attached, I would remove and replace the front detachable plate once to ensure a good connection. That's a simple thing to try and only requires a quick operation.

Hope that helps. (If not, more info is needed for me to be of any help.)
