Iphone hi, i have a 1.1.2 iphone that has the slide for emergency screen but when i put in my sim it registers , cause been unlocked before but know its got the slide for emergency when i ring the iphone it stills receives phone calls it still has the same wallpaper i set it to. please help kind Regards

Verify the sim card in another phone, probably you have a damaged sim card .

It seems that your iPhone 2G is in need of activation. To accomplish this, there are 2 ways:
A. (With AT&T as your service provider)
1. If you do not already have an AT&T sim card, contact AT&T and ask for an AT&T sim card to activate service with them. Choose your plan and insert the sim card in the iPhone.
2. Connect the iPhone to iTunes and you will be prompted to follow a few steps to proceed with the activation process.
3. Sync your iPhone for the first time.
Once completed, you will have your iPhone activated and ready to use on the AT&T network.

B. (Without AT&T as your service provider)
1. You will need to download an application to jailbreak your iPhone. (This will essentially remove certain restrictions on your iPhone 2G that prevent you from utilizing your iPhone on another network, among other things).
2. Connect your iPhone to the computer and run your jailbreak application of choice.
Once completed, your iPhone 2G will be activated and jailbroken. The "emergency call" message will disappear, though you will be prompted with a "no sim card found" message until a sim card from AT&T (or another GSM carrier) is placed in the sim tray.

Jailbreak-in simple terms, is modifying the software of your iPhone to maximize its functionality, bypassing some restrictions from Apple, like being able to install apps which are not approved by Apple.

Now let's talk about Unlock. Almost all iPhones came locked with a certain carrier (SIM), for instance, AT&T in the US and Fido/Rogers in Canada. That means, if you put other SIM card on the iPhone, its won't be recognized and you won't have any cellular signal. For somebody to be able to use another SIM on his iPhone, the iPhone must first be unlocked, otherwise, like i said, the phone functionality of the iPhone won't work. Also, everytime you restore the iPhone, you're gonna need to have the legit SIM to be able to activate it, without activation, you won't be able to use the iPhone.

Now, the Spirit JB.
The new 3.1.3 Spirit JB does not support any unlocking tool. That means, even if you've jailbroken your iPhone already, you still can't use it coz you still need to activate it with a legit SIM. If you're in the US, try to borrow some AT&T SIM card from any of your friends just to activate your iPhone. If you don't know how to replace your iPhone SIM, go to the link below for the guide.

Here is what you have to do. Get a friend that is on the same carrier as the sim card that is in your phone.

Next take your sim card out and put a friends (same carrier) sim card in and restore it. When it is done it will still be in emergency mode. When it says invalid sim put your original one back in it and after about 30 seconds it will go back to normal.

This solution just fixed my iphone 3g so this should work.

Try replacing you sim and if you still get the same error then it is a device issue. You will need to contact your service provider for replacement options!

u have to use the original sim it came with and plug it in to itunes and then it activates and by the way if u want 2 rejailbreak tell me i got easy program does it in 1 min

Your phone has not been fully registered to by the carrier you're using (AT&T ???) and until you do that, the default "slide for emergency call" display will be there.

What sim card do you have in your iPhone. If you updated your iPhone to the new 2.0 software then unlocking the iPhone will be impossible.
