SHU5302UC dishwasher will not spray or pump.

I have a SHU5302UC dishwasher that was not used for about 6 months; it ran fine prior to this period. The unit will only humm (electrical type) now and does not spray or pump. Where would be a good place to start looking for problem?
Unit has power and water.

Dishwashwer not cleaning dishes at all, though it runs through a complete cycle.

try removing spray spinner and clean out holes the spray heads get blocked and stop water flow, or you may be able to remove spray nozzles and clean out , i had this several times in the past also make sure the base drain filter is clean some times the small holes in the filter get smaller and smaller reducing water flow
hope this is of some help good luck

Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher making awful rumble/crackle noise

Have you cleaned the traps and run some vinegar through? They build up dirt from kitchen debris over time which causes the pump and spray rails to pick up sludge. You need to clean them at least every 6 months. Check farther on line for cleaning solutions to clean and maintain dishwashers. I have been hearing clr can be used but can't confirm this.

Getting a film on drinking glasses.. dishwasher is 6 months old... was working fine until last week

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

Sishwasher not used for months. Now motor only

Disassembled dishwasher. Some plastic scraps had shredded and wound itself around the pump impeller axis. It was preventing the motor from turning. Upon removal diswasher again worked fine.

Detergent stays in the dispenser

Clean and dry your dispenser prior to filling with detergent.
Use only fresh detergent.
Do not place anything ie. cookie sheets, cutting boards in the path of the water obstructing the dispenser.
Do not allow anything to fall between the racks and stop the spray arms from turning.
Always turn the hot water on at the sink prior to starting you dishwasher they use less than 2 gallonsof water in the initial cycle and they require 120 deg f water. Unless you have hot water recirculation in your home.
If you have low water volume or low water pressure due to bad impellor or windings in circulation pump. The water volume or pressure will be insuficient to reach the dispenser.

Kenmore 665.1736 fills with water but does not spray

Take thre drain hose off from disposal. Pour hot water down the hose until full. Cover end with hand. Press cancel/drain while holding hand over hose - over bucket. That may unstick checkvalve balls and or fix air lock. I have to do that every 6 months or so. Started happening 1 month out of warranty. Go figure. Not a fix - just a work-around...

Bottom water sprayer is not going round

Hello Joannekirk9,
I used to work at Miele in the technical services department. The most likely cause of your problem is the jets on the spray arm are clogged with soap build up or debris.
Solution - Try cleaning out the bottom spray arm jets with a toothpick and then running the dishwasher through a short cycle like normal or china crystal setting. You may also periodically do this with about 1 liter of vinegar to clean out the stainless steel tub once every 6 months to prolong the life of the dishwasher. The vinegar acts as a really good cleaning agent. Also, When using soap use 2 tablespoons of powder solution only!!! Oversudsing is the biggest problem I have seen with these dishwashers. If you are still having a problem contact Miele technical support. They are always extremely helpful. I also have a G832sci and has been great

Dishwasher not spraying

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Good luck!
