Fisher and Paykel front loader grinding noise

There could be a few possible reasons for the grinding noise in your Fisher and Paykel front loader washing machine. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the drum paddles: If the drum paddles are worn or broken, they can create a grinding noise during the wash cycle. Check to see if any of the paddles are loose or damaged.
  2. Check the drum bearings: The drum bearings are responsible for supporting the drum and allowing it to spin smoothly. If they are worn or damaged, they can cause a grinding noise. To check the bearings, try spinning the drum by hand. If it makes a grinding noise or feels rough, the bearings may need to be replaced.
  3. Check the drive belt: If the drive belt is loose or worn, it can cause a grinding noise. Check the belt for any signs of wear or damage, and make sure it is properly tensioned.
  4. Check the motor: A faulty motor can sometimes cause a grinding noise. If you suspect the motor is the problem, it's best to call a professional for assistance.
If none of these solutions fix the problem, it's best to call a professional to diagnose and repair the issue.

I have a Bosch Maxx Classic front loader about 15 y.o. Somehow gravel ended up in the system, and it eventually killed the motor. I replaced the motor, so now it spins, fills & drains water.

Gravel can't kill the motor. The motor is only connected via a drive belt. The only thing gravel can do is damage the pump as the gravel and water runs past the pump impeller!

If it doesn't turn in wash (low speed), but it does spin in spin mode (high speed), my guess is the the belt needs tightening or replacing.

What how to do diagnostics on a frididaire front loader atf6000es

Have you checked the drive belt and the motor brushes? Also check if there is voltage getting to the motor. Does then drum fill with water, and carry out the wash cycle fully but without the drum moving? If so it is likely to be either the motor, brushes, belt or relay pcb

My front loader fills with water, pumps and drains fine but the drum never moves or spins . Already cleaned pump, Checked belt and motor, belt is good and motor and drum spin freely.

Remove the back panel of the machine and operate it to check that the drive belts are being engaged to drive the drum. Observe the operation from a safe distance when you have the back off as there are live terminals within reach and you could be severely shocked if you come into contact with any one of them. Unplug the machine again before checking anything withing the workings.

I have a noisy ariston front loader washing machine and

From the front of the washer, spin the drum by hand, and if it feels rough, or is noisy, or rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed..
If no noise, then problem is elsewhwere.
Hope this helps.

Front loader washer machine not rotating.

Fisrt, see if you can rotate it by hand, BOTH directions. It should have some resistance. If you can spin it and when you stop pushing it will turn a full turn, your drum belt is too loose. If the belt is good and tight, it will spin less than one half rotation, there is probably something blocking one of the wheels that the drum rides on.

Have a front loader the drum will not stay turning for each cycle

sounds like the motor bushes have badly worn just check or replace them, sometimes they just need taking out and give them a flick with your finger to get rid of the carbon dust build up,put them back on if they are long enough as they really should be showing a good quarter of an inch for it to function rite.
