Sounds like you have downloaded a PSP theme. Atleast thats what it says when you goto transfer a DLC for the PSP. Check to make sure you have a PS3 theme.

Connect storage media at save destination

How much free memory is left, and how are you tying to download your data? Via internet, media server, or usb? For the bluetooth devices, they may not have the same signals as your ps3.

I try to download stuff off the internet but it keeps saying connect storage media at the save destination what does this mean

File formats that the PS3 doesn't recognize as something that it can play can only be saved to a USB storage device, or a memory card. You can't download anything to the PS3 hard drive via the browser that you couldn't copy to it from a USB storage device. That is what the error message means. You have to connect an external storage device, because the PS3 won't store this file format on the internal drive. This protects the integrity of the system. If you connect a USB drive or memory card (you will need a USB adapter for the memory card if you don't have a launch PS3), then you can download anything that you want using the PS3 web browser.

Sometimes called a thumb drive, a USB drive costs about $20 and plugs into the USB slot and is removable.

It sounds to me like you either have a full Hard drive, or need to format your hard drive, Did you install a new hard drive recently?

I am trying to download something on the my ps3 and it just keeps sayin connect storage media at the save destination and i dont no what to do

Sounds like what you are trying to download is too large for the space available, OR you are choosing to save in an area designated for external storage.

Try downloading again and when it prompts you where to save, ensure its in an area that your other files are at.

When i download a movie it says "connect storage media at sace destination"

It basically means two things:

1. You cannot save that file onto the PS3 hard drive through the PS3 Operating System (therefore, asks you for a different storage media to save it on).

2. You cannot run that software through the PS3 Operating System.

So what needs to be done is to get a storage device like an external hard drive or a flash drive to save the movie on.
