It is hot here and the remote has stopped working. We are only renting and have no manual for the air conditioner. on back of remote says R11HG/E-XLM but I cannot see anywhere that batteries are
Slide the slider down until it stops, then lift/prize the middle of the slider lid upward (or outward,, however you concieve it) and continue sliding the final 2cm. Voila! batteries are revealed. 2x AAA.
Don't understand? (Don't worry, my wife can't do it even after watching me do it TWICE !!)
Okay... the slider stops about 2cm from the bottom of the remote (when slid down as far as it will go). The reason for this is a small catch in the middle of the remote, just below the lidof the slider-bit. You need to LIFT the lid of the slider over that catch. The reason I use the word 'prize' beacuse you'll need to dig your fingers downwards, just below the TIME ADJUST button, and at the same time work the lid upwards against this pressure. LIFT / PRIZE the lid up in the middle, and away it comes!!
Still don't get it? YOU ARE USELESS and must go and pay one of the clever people to do it for you, *******!!!!!
Ha Ha aaaahhhh!
What kind of airconditioning do you got?..is it a split unit or a window type? what is the model number? the batteries could be at the front if the remote is a sliding type. you have to slide the cover and remove it carefully , the battery would be exposed.
I just had the same problem with my remote. The slide does slide off and you can change the batteries.
Hey,
I just had the same problem, if the remote slides down, the batteries are at the end of the remote. You need to carefully remove the slider part and the batteries are under there. I found I needed 2 x AAA batteries and I am now able to turn off the air conditioner!
Thanks heaps for the help above - it helped immensely!!
It's a carrier split air system. Can't seem to slide it down?!?
