Go to Hp website at hp.com and select drivers and support then enter your product and model number you will be able to find the necessary software from there.

You can download the software at the HP website. Just click on the support link, lookup your specific model # and select the o/s you are running. Download and install following the onscreen instructions. You should be all set. Hope this helps.

You can find the drivers for XP here. You will find two versions of the driver. One will be the basic driver and the other will be the full feature driver that includes all of the software. If download time is not a factor I suggest the full feature driver. If it is, the basic will work.

To download:

Click driver version - Basic or full.

You will then see options to Install now which means to start the installation immediately or Download only which means to save the file to your hard drive and install later (recommended) Either option has installation instruction links below it.

You can download the latest Vista drivers and software for your HP Photosmart C5180 at this location:

Go to www.hp.com and select Drivers&Support downloads (or something along those lines).  There is an option to enter the type of computer you have, or to let it search for it.  Select the search option, with your printer hooked up to the USB port in your computer.   The site will register both your computer and printer.  For the printer, select "Driver Downloads."  You will find a list of drivers, one of them is an "All-in-one" download that can reinstall your printer if you don't have a disc.  Hope this helps!
